Please Don't Stop The Music

Just letting you guys know that I've started another blog, which is purely about music.
It's called Now That's What I Call Real Music.

Enjoy :)

My Music: Please Don't Stop The Music - Rihanna. Everyone knows this song, it's one of my favorites to sing a long to, and anything that Rihanna comes out with, I automatically love.

Everytime We Touch

My Life: My last two weeks have been taken up by Link Crew. I freaking love Link Crew. The people there are so awesome and it's so much fun just hanging out with them. I mean, where else can you jump around dancing on the bleachers to Lady GaGa? (this occurred on Tuesday, igor dances a mean Poker Face). My freshmen were pretty awesome, some of them were totally into it, while others...well I'm just glad they showed up. One of my freshmen said the sweetest thing to me the other day, he said that we inspired him to want to be a Link Crew Leader in a couple years, because we were so cool. (see? freshmen can be cute sometimes) I went to the freshmen dance on Wednesday, and had so much fun. Because it was only freshmen, you didn't have to worry about looking stupid and stuff, so we danced away. My favorite part was when Cynthia saw that her brother was being a loner and not dancing with anyone, so she turns to me and says "Go Freak With My Brother!". It was very funny. Anyways, I just love Link Crew, and can't wait to keep hanging out with my freshmen all year.

My Thoughts: At the moment, I am currently watching Long Way Around which is a documentary about two guys who ride around the world on their motorcycles. One of the guys is Ewan McGregor, who is Obi-Wan Kenobi in the new Staw Wars movies (AKA the bad ones). A lot of people don't know this, but I know a lot about motorcycles. My stepdad loves motorcyles. Now, I use the term "love" literally. He is in love with motorcycles. We have 4 in our garage (two KTMs, one BMW and one Ducati for those who speak motorcycle) and he spends his free time cleaning them over and over again. I speak basic motorcycle, knowing the different brands, major riders, and occasionally keeping up with MotoGP (pro motorcycle racing). Motorcycles are pretty much the epitome of cool.

My Music: Everytime We Touch - Cascada. I love this song. It just makes you want to jump and down and dance. In fact I did do that (check out alicia's facebook for the video). I tried to get them to play it at the frosh dance, but they didn't, so I was sad and danced to it on my own. You will be singing this after you see it.

My Random Fact: When I was in 3rd Grade I had a retainer. It really sucked. One time I lost my retainer, because I accidently threw it away with my lunch, and it wound up in the school dumpster. My grandma went through the entire dumpster (with help from Philip's Mom, note: I did not know Philip then, this is pretty much the mother of all coincidences) and found it. We then soaked it in baking soda for like a week before I wore it again. My grandma is superwoman.

Video Killed The Radio Star

This is just a youtube video that Alice and I made. Enjoy.

Music: Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles. This was the very first music video ever played on MTV. It's one of my favorite songs and you need to go listen to it NOW.

We Are The Champions

My Life: I've had a very sports-filled weekend. Today was the only non-sports day and it was very boring. All I did today was laundry and I cleaned my rooms (yes plural, one at each house), but I'll go back to Friday which was way cooler than what I did today.

Friday I went to SAT class like I do every weekday, but it was better than usual because it was our last friday class, so the teacher gave up and we just kicked back and did nothing, which was a plus. Then I came home and we went to a baseball game. It was the SF Giants vs. the Cincinnati Reds and the Giants were doing really well up until the 9th inning when they gave up 5 runs which basically really really sucked. On the up side, I got to eat junk food which included my all-time favorite Frozen Lemonade, even though it was freaking freezing in San Francisco.

Saturday I had to go to SAT class again, which really sucked and then I went to my Aunt Julie's house to wait for my cousin Chris for a while because he was taking me home. I watched some Criss Angel thing on TV with my cousins Daniel and Rachel, and this other random girl who's staying with my aunt and she's from Korea so she doesn't speak much english so she usually just sits and watches us. Then Chris drove me home and my Dad, Maddy, Davis, Chris, and I went off to Candelstick Park in SF to go see some soccer. It was the Earthquakes vs. Columbus Crew and then afterwards, FC Barcelona (!) vs. Chivas USA. My dad was there with his soccer team so we tailgated, complete with mini grill and the most alcohol i've ever seen in one place. The parking lot was crazy, everyone was tailgating and all the fans were going crazy. Chivas fans are freaking hardcore, think seniors at homecoming and then multiply it by like 100 and Barcelona fans are everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE. Your neighbor is probably a Barcelona fan but you don't know it. Anyways, we got into the stadium around the second half of the earthquakes game, where they lost (earthquakes kind of suck). But FC Barcelona is just an amazing team. their ball control is mind-bottling (blades of glory reference) and their passing is gold. It ended up in a tie 1-1 at around 10 but we didn't leave until 11:30 because we waited for traffic to clear out. Traffic at Candelstick is a nightmare

My Thoughts: I am currently uploading my Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Audio book on CD to my iTunes library. I know I am a dork. I already have Deathly Hallows on there, so I figured I might as well upload HBP. I am an extreme Harry Potter fan. I have all the audio books from Prisoner of Azkaban, and I love these Harry Potter news sites like the Leaky Cauldron and Mugglenet, and they have podcasts that I listen to. Feel free to now make fun of me.

My Music: We Are The Champions - Queen. I'm surprised that I haven't had any Queen up yet, Queen is basically the most epic band ever. Their music is amazing, it's like rock with some opera, and all this other random stuff. I mean Bohemian Rhapsody is basically the best song ever. Everyone knows We Are The Champions, it's a great song, and I sing it every time I win anything.

My Random Fact: I take great pride in my iTunes library. I organize that thing to death. Almost every one of my songs has Album Art and lyrics and I make sure that there are no doubles when you do the cover flow. With 1303 songs, it's pretty hard, but I love it. My iTunes library pwns your iTunes library.

It Ends Tonight

My Life: Today, as usual, I went to SAT class. I have made semi-friends there, well at least people who will talk to me, and it is more pleasurable than it was last week. Except for math class, I feel like I am growing more and more stupider from just being there. I then came home and pretended to do APUSH for a little while. Then I got to go to soccer practice, where my coach brought us cucumbers and dried plums. My coach likes to bring us vegetables as motivation, it actually works. We like to run relays with the cucumbers as batons, and the plums are just for water breaks. I then came home and did APUSH and finished :)

My Thoughts: Every morning I go to Walnut Creek to SAT class and I spend a majority of the time looking at the cars. I realized something. Cars are like clothes, they're an expression of what type of person we are. For example, someone who drives a red ferarri is probably different from someone who drives a beige honda civic. Cars can show us how much money you're willing to spend on a car, which translates to what kinds of things are important in your life. Like, if you drive a volvo, which is a very dependable car, you probably are very logical and put dependability above looks and flashy gadgets. A car can also tell you what kinds of places you go, and who you're surrounded with. The guy with the red ferarri, probably drives that car when he goes out, maybe he has a girlfriend, but he probably lives alone. The owner of a beat up white mini-van with one of those "mommy-daddy-sister-brother-dog" stickers probably is a parent, who uses the car to lug their kids around everywhere. One of the two parents is probably a stay-at-home parent. The color also matters. If you have a white car, it means that you like to look neat and clean, but it requires a lot of effort. (washing that white car all the time). If you have a flashy colored car, you just want people to look at your car. You want people to think "hey that guy has a cool car". If you have a color such as beige or grey, your car is just for traveling in and it can get a little dirty once in a while. Now silver is a different story. Silver car owners like having their car clean, and are willing to work hard to keep it clean, but don't always have the time to do it. This is just my philosophy on the inner soul based on car.

My Music: It Ends Tonight - The All-American Rejects I thoroughly enjoy the All-American Rejects. I chose this song because I finished my APUSH HW tonight but this song really reminds me of middle school. Everyone loved the All-American Rejects and everyone knew all the words to this song, and Dirty Little Secret. It's a pretty good song, I just realized that it has piano in it. Way to go Allyson, you're so observant.

My Random Fact: I'm pretty sure that I'm a packrat. I keep a lot of unnecessary things, like old magazines (I have every single issue of seventeen that i've ever had) and old papers and cards and things like that. I also tend to do it with clothes, which is why I have some shirts from like the 7th grade and stuff. I think it's because I have this fear that I'll need them again, and if I throw them out, I won't have them. I should probably learn to let go, it'll clear up some space in my room and my closet. Oh and I found out that my mom reads my blog, so Hi Mom.

SPECIAL EDITON: My Body Is A Cage

THEATRE WORKSHOP

My summer at theatre workshop was the best ever. I had so much fun and had so many good times with everyone there. For those of you who live in a cave, Theatre Workshop is a thing run by Michael Lushington that I've been going to since the 4th grade. He is basically my hero. It's basically a drama camp but it's so much more, we all just care for each other so much and the just being there makes you happy.

Our show was amazing, and I had a blast doing it. Between Nick's Michael Jackson's impression to "Tutti Frutti alright" to "Amazon of small proportions" and of course "No Foundation. All the way, down the line". And of course all the booze.

THE VARKERS

The Varkers were the High School group there. Our actual name is The Aardvarks but it was shortened to Varkers. We are amazing. Let me tell you just how amazing we are.
VARKERS:
Mary Rebecca Love: Mary is a genius. I love Mary so much, we've been friends since 2nd grade and that basically explains a lot. She played a man in our play and she did a darn good job of it. Her parachute pants were great and her Juicy Coture Lotion that all the girls would use every morning. Playing UNO was fun and all the booze she brought in for the bar. I love mary Love.
Johnna Joy Murch: Johnna is amazing. We've been friends since I was in 7th grade and she was in 6th. Johnna also played a man, and a woman, and a man. haha. She wears amazing T Shirts with boxer shorts and absolutely can not spin. Johnna is just great.
Nicolas Adam Sears: Nick is my soulmate. We almost always get each other's jokes, even the bad ones. We also get our random references to movies that no one else guesses. Nick's a good sport, he put up with Mary and Johnna's obsession with his butt. He also put up with me being really mean to him while playing Uno. Nick's car smells like pickles.
Zachary Ellis Rice: Zach is pretty cool. He plays an amazing Kit Carson not to mention a pretty cool Dudley Raoul Bostwick. He also did very well with Mary and Johnna constantly begging him for lap dances. haha. Zach hates it when me and caitlin sing vanessa carlton but i think he secretly loves singing to avril lavigne.
Erin "GINA" Sullivan: Erin is great. I had to catch her a bunch of times during the play for some reason or another. She wears her hair the same way every time and Laurie the dance teacher keeps calling her Gina, so we all started calling her Gina. I just find that funny.
Clarice somethingidontknow Velardo: Clarice is a tooth that resides in Mary's mouth. Clarice is really sweet and has her own light, it's called the "Clarice light". She has funny tan lines and hates her phone. Clarice also has a child named RockyTalk.
Caitlin THEARAB Lushington: Caitlin as the Arab made my day every day. Just the way her mouth frowned was great. "NO FOUNDATION" I also enjoyed figuring out what pattern her shorts were red with blue diamonds, or blue with red circles, we'll never know. Running lights with Caitlin was also fun and I'm the only one who knew her name. "Hiya Mahmed"
Jordan thegoldensnitch Mackey: I actually didn't talk to Jordan that much, even though we had a lot of lines together, but he's pretty cool. He always wears large amounts of yellow and is a beast when it comes to steal the bacon. We decided that if we ever play muggle quiddich Jordan will be the golden Snitch. Jordan is pretty great, he always seems to brighten things up.
Monica Ammerman: I love Monica, she's like the nicest person ever. She is also very beastly when it comes to steal the bacon and also fox and hound tag. I loved throwing her out every single day as Blick and she would come to me and say "throw me harder". I felt so bad for her in that wool coat as McCarthy but she took it like a man. Monica is basically really awesome.
Julia Wehe: Julia was an amazing paperboy. Her singing was amazing when she sang the irish song as the greek boy, and who can ever forget her as Nick's mother. "BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH NICKY". Julia was just great.
Mac Hughes: Mac was very lovely to have around. My favorite time was when she played the nurse with hello kitty bandaids during improv. Mac plays a great prostitute (don't take that the wrong way) and she drinks only ONE shot as Mary L. She also taught us never to eat jalepeno chips right before a show because you will get heartburn.

I basically love all the Varkers, and we are going to have a Varker reunion day sometime soon.

Say

My Life: Sorry I haven't written in while, I've been muy busy. I'm going back and doing special blogs on all the stuff that happened last week, so this will focus on what happened TODAY. Well today I went to SAT class which i call SAT Nazi Death Camp. It's all korean and everyone speaks korean and it's just too much korea for me. I basically bang my head against the wall while I'm there and try not to fall asleep. Most of the kids have just come to America from Korea and are taking the SAT so that they can go to Harvard or whatever so they don't speak much english. Here's a sample conversation:
"How long have you been in america?"
"about 2 years now"
"WOW that's a long time, i've only been here for 6 months!"
"woah that's so cool!"
Little do these kids know, I've been in America for 16 years (i know WOW). Anyways I went there today and I watched my brain leak out of my ears.
Then I went to soccer practice which I love because Darcie and Jessica are there and we just hang out. So that was a nice end to the day.

My Thoughts: My feet really hurt. That's what my brain is telling me. It's because I wore Maddy's cleats to practice because I left mine at my mom's house and these were her old cleats so they were a little small on me. Feet are really strange things. Have you ever wondered why we have toes? I'm wondering that right now. I mean what are they there for? And why are there five of them? And why is one bigger than the rest? Just things I'm wondering.

My Music: Say - John Mayer. Okay I know John Mayer is usually Alice territory, but I really like this song. It was in my sister's play (which I will tell you about later) and I just love it. John Mayer's pretty cool, but I need to be in the right mood to listen to him. Like a calm slightly happy mood. Say what you need to say.

My Random Fact: i have strange feet. Yes, I know I already talked about feet but they're on my mind. Like firstoff, they're on the small side. I wear a 6.5 girls which is like a 4 in boys ( i know this from when I buy converse). And my pinky toe is so tiny and the toenail is the tinyest thing ever. Sometimes I have to check if it's still there in case it fell off or something. You're probably disgusted right about now unless you want to be a podiatrist.
