It Ends Tonight

My Life: Today, as usual, I went to SAT class. I have made semi-friends there, well at least people who will talk to me, and it is more pleasurable than it was last week. Except for math class, I feel like I am growing more and more stupider from just being there. I then came home and pretended to do APUSH for a little while. Then I got to go to soccer practice, where my coach brought us cucumbers and dried plums. My coach likes to bring us vegetables as motivation, it actually works. We like to run relays with the cucumbers as batons, and the plums are just for water breaks. I then came home and did APUSH and finished :)

My Thoughts: Every morning I go to Walnut Creek to SAT class and I spend a majority of the time looking at the cars. I realized something. Cars are like clothes, they're an expression of what type of person we are. For example, someone who drives a red ferarri is probably different from someone who drives a beige honda civic. Cars can show us how much money you're willing to spend on a car, which translates to what kinds of things are important in your life. Like, if you drive a volvo, which is a very dependable car, you probably are very logical and put dependability above looks and flashy gadgets. A car can also tell you what kinds of places you go, and who you're surrounded with. The guy with the red ferarri, probably drives that car when he goes out, maybe he has a girlfriend, but he probably lives alone. The owner of a beat up white mini-van with one of those "mommy-daddy-sister-brother-dog" stickers probably is a parent, who uses the car to lug their kids around everywhere. One of the two parents is probably a stay-at-home parent. The color also matters. If you have a white car, it means that you like to look neat and clean, but it requires a lot of effort. (washing that white car all the time). If you have a flashy colored car, you just want people to look at your car. You want people to think "hey that guy has a cool car". If you have a color such as beige or grey, your car is just for traveling in and it can get a little dirty once in a while. Now silver is a different story. Silver car owners like having their car clean, and are willing to work hard to keep it clean, but don't always have the time to do it. This is just my philosophy on the inner soul based on car.

My Music: It Ends Tonight - The All-American Rejects I thoroughly enjoy the All-American Rejects. I chose this song because I finished my APUSH HW tonight but this song really reminds me of middle school. Everyone loved the All-American Rejects and everyone knew all the words to this song, and Dirty Little Secret. It's a pretty good song, I just realized that it has piano in it. Way to go Allyson, you're so observant.

My Random Fact: I'm pretty sure that I'm a packrat. I keep a lot of unnecessary things, like old magazines (I have every single issue of seventeen that i've ever had) and old papers and cards and things like that. I also tend to do it with clothes, which is why I have some shirts from like the 7th grade and stuff. I think it's because I have this fear that I'll need them again, and if I throw them out, I won't have them. I should probably learn to let go, it'll clear up some space in my room and my closet. Oh and I found out that my mom reads my blog, so Hi Mom.

SPECIAL EDITON: My Body Is A Cage

THEATRE WORKSHOP

My summer at theatre workshop was the best ever. I had so much fun and had so many good times with everyone there. For those of you who live in a cave, Theatre Workshop is a thing run by Michael Lushington that I've been going to since the 4th grade. He is basically my hero. It's basically a drama camp but it's so much more, we all just care for each other so much and the just being there makes you happy.

Our show was amazing, and I had a blast doing it. Between Nick's Michael Jackson's impression to "Tutti Frutti alright" to "Amazon of small proportions" and of course "No Foundation. All the way, down the line". And of course all the booze.

THE VARKERS

The Varkers were the High School group there. Our actual name is The Aardvarks but it was shortened to Varkers. We are amazing. Let me tell you just how amazing we are.
VARKERS:
Mary Rebecca Love: Mary is a genius. I love Mary so much, we've been friends since 2nd grade and that basically explains a lot. She played a man in our play and she did a darn good job of it. Her parachute pants were great and her Juicy Coture Lotion that all the girls would use every morning. Playing UNO was fun and all the booze she brought in for the bar. I love mary Love.
Johnna Joy Murch: Johnna is amazing. We've been friends since I was in 7th grade and she was in 6th. Johnna also played a man, and a woman, and a man. haha. She wears amazing T Shirts with boxer shorts and absolutely can not spin. Johnna is just great.
Nicolas Adam Sears: Nick is my soulmate. We almost always get each other's jokes, even the bad ones. We also get our random references to movies that no one else guesses. Nick's a good sport, he put up with Mary and Johnna's obsession with his butt. He also put up with me being really mean to him while playing Uno. Nick's car smells like pickles.
Zachary Ellis Rice: Zach is pretty cool. He plays an amazing Kit Carson not to mention a pretty cool Dudley Raoul Bostwick. He also did very well with Mary and Johnna constantly begging him for lap dances. haha. Zach hates it when me and caitlin sing vanessa carlton but i think he secretly loves singing to avril lavigne.
Erin "GINA" Sullivan: Erin is great. I had to catch her a bunch of times during the play for some reason or another. She wears her hair the same way every time and Laurie the dance teacher keeps calling her Gina, so we all started calling her Gina. I just find that funny.
Clarice somethingidontknow Velardo: Clarice is a tooth that resides in Mary's mouth. Clarice is really sweet and has her own light, it's called the "Clarice light". She has funny tan lines and hates her phone. Clarice also has a child named RockyTalk.
Caitlin THEARAB Lushington: Caitlin as the Arab made my day every day. Just the way her mouth frowned was great. "NO FOUNDATION" I also enjoyed figuring out what pattern her shorts were red with blue diamonds, or blue with red circles, we'll never know. Running lights with Caitlin was also fun and I'm the only one who knew her name. "Hiya Mahmed"
Jordan thegoldensnitch Mackey: I actually didn't talk to Jordan that much, even though we had a lot of lines together, but he's pretty cool. He always wears large amounts of yellow and is a beast when it comes to steal the bacon. We decided that if we ever play muggle quiddich Jordan will be the golden Snitch. Jordan is pretty great, he always seems to brighten things up.
Monica Ammerman: I love Monica, she's like the nicest person ever. She is also very beastly when it comes to steal the bacon and also fox and hound tag. I loved throwing her out every single day as Blick and she would come to me and say "throw me harder". I felt so bad for her in that wool coat as McCarthy but she took it like a man. Monica is basically really awesome.
Julia Wehe: Julia was an amazing paperboy. Her singing was amazing when she sang the irish song as the greek boy, and who can ever forget her as Nick's mother. "BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH NICKY". Julia was just great.
Mac Hughes: Mac was very lovely to have around. My favorite time was when she played the nurse with hello kitty bandaids during improv. Mac plays a great prostitute (don't take that the wrong way) and she drinks only ONE shot as Mary L. She also taught us never to eat jalepeno chips right before a show because you will get heartburn.

I basically love all the Varkers, and we are going to have a Varker reunion day sometime soon.

Say

My Life: Sorry I haven't written in while, I've been muy busy. I'm going back and doing special blogs on all the stuff that happened last week, so this will focus on what happened TODAY. Well today I went to SAT class which i call SAT Nazi Death Camp. It's all korean and everyone speaks korean and it's just too much korea for me. I basically bang my head against the wall while I'm there and try not to fall asleep. Most of the kids have just come to America from Korea and are taking the SAT so that they can go to Harvard or whatever so they don't speak much english. Here's a sample conversation:
"How long have you been in america?"
"about 2 years now"
"WOW that's a long time, i've only been here for 6 months!"
"woah that's so cool!"
Little do these kids know, I've been in America for 16 years (i know WOW). Anyways I went there today and I watched my brain leak out of my ears.
Then I went to soccer practice which I love because Darcie and Jessica are there and we just hang out. So that was a nice end to the day.

My Thoughts: My feet really hurt. That's what my brain is telling me. It's because I wore Maddy's cleats to practice because I left mine at my mom's house and these were her old cleats so they were a little small on me. Feet are really strange things. Have you ever wondered why we have toes? I'm wondering that right now. I mean what are they there for? And why are there five of them? And why is one bigger than the rest? Just things I'm wondering.

My Music: Say - John Mayer. Okay I know John Mayer is usually Alice territory, but I really like this song. It was in my sister's play (which I will tell you about later) and I just love it. John Mayer's pretty cool, but I need to be in the right mood to listen to him. Like a calm slightly happy mood. Say what you need to say.

My Random Fact: i have strange feet. Yes, I know I already talked about feet but they're on my mind. Like firstoff, they're on the small side. I wear a 6.5 girls which is like a 4 in boys ( i know this from when I buy converse). And my pinky toe is so tiny and the toenail is the tinyest thing ever. Sometimes I have to check if it's still there in case it fell off or something. You're probably disgusted right about now unless you want to be a podiatrist.

Wouldn't It Be Nice

My Life: I didn't really do anything today. Mostly I just sat around and procrastinated. I need to be memorizing lines and doing APUSH but I didn't do any of it. I just sat. I did get my hair cut though, but just a bang trim, nothing major. I went to Aran's to make my grandma's birthday present. She's turning 70 which in Korea is a big deal. It's the "OMG YOU'RE STILL ALIVE" birthday, so they throw a huge party. I dislike large korean parties as a whole because it means a lot of halmonis (old ladies) coming up to me and speaking korean. I usually just nod yes or bow or something until they go away. It also means that I have to sit still and smile for long periods of time. I really should learn korean. Then I went to my dad's house and walked my dog. I enjoy walking my dog, it makes me feel healthy even though we only walk around for like 15 minutes. Now that I think about it I actually did do a lot of stuff today, I just couldn't remember it.

My Thoughts: My mind is literally empty right now. It has been all day, this would account for the no progress on anything. Well it was thinking about stuff but not stuff that I want to share with the world. Or just the like 5 people who read this.

My Music: Wouldn't It Be Nice - The Beach Boys. The Beach Boys are a staple in my music library. They basically define California. I guarentee that you know the words to at least one Beach Boys song whether you know it or not. Even if you are a hermit who lives in a cave, you know a Beach Boys song. This particular song reminds me of 50 First Dates and if you've seen the movie, you'd know why.

My Random Fact: Since I'm having a brain fart, I can not think of something interesting a witty. So...I watched Hannah Montana today with my sister. It was the one where she had to choose between her boyfriend and this other random boy in her band. I noticed that she has pretty cute clothes and everyone's hair is rather strange. I just thought Philip would like me talking about this.

All-American Girl

Well it seems like I'm posting more everyday than once a week...I blame procrastination of summer homework.

My Life: Today I went to San Francisco again, now I'm not complaining I absolutely adore San Francisco but it was a bit repetitive. We picked up my cousin Cleo, who's spending her summer studying at the Academy of Art and took her out to brunch. We went and had Dim Sum and caught up. Cleo is my favorite cousin because she's only a month younger than me, but she's a foot taller than me. She lives in Southern California so I don't get to see her that often so it was a lot of fun. After Dim Sum we walked around San Francisco for a while and then drove around. We got some Gelato in North Beach and visited San Francisco Art University. Then we dropped Cleo off and came back home.

My Thoughts: Today is 4th of July. I didn't really celebrate. No fireworks, no big BBQ's, I didn't even eat a hot dog. Usually I go see fireworks but this year we just didn't feel like going. I can hear the fireworks outside but I'm not really interested. I mean I know this is all about pride in being American and our revolution and all that jive, but I'm just not feeling it. I think I need to hear someone sing the National Anthem or something before I feel patriotic.

My Music: All-American Girl-Carrie Underwood. I've decided to provide YouTube Links for you guys just in case you would actually want to check out what I listen to. I love Carrie Underwood. She was one of the first American Idols that I actually rooted for. Before that I didn't really care, but I love Carrie. She's one of the only country singers that I listen to, along with Taylor Swift. I thought this song was appropriate for Independence Day, even though it's not patriotic or anything.

My Random Fact: I'm a very plain person. I don't like ketchup on my french fries, or large amounts of sauce. I like my hamburgers with just lettuce and I almost never ever use dipping sauce. The only exception is french fries and chocolate milkshakes. or ice cream :)

Jailhouse Rock

My Life: Today I went to SF and went to Alcatraz. It was pretty cool, and I'm just going to say that I'm really really really really glad I'm not in prison. The cells are itty bitty and I think I would drive myself insane if I had to stay there for more than a couple hours. We took this audio tour and I learned a lot, like how the Indians took over the prison and wanted to make it a cultural center in the 1960's but the government forced them out. The island is actually rather pretty though. There's lots of birds and flowers growing everywhere. It's a pretty nice place aside from the top security prison.

My Thoughts: Sarah Palin has resigned as Governor of Alaska. I'm not quite sure what to think here. I mean this is probably good for Alaska, they get a new Governor, but what I'm wondering is WHY? I mean she basically thrust her whole family and Alaska into the spotlight for the election and now she's just gracefully stepping back into the shadows. I hope beyond hope that she will not run in 2012.

My Music: Jailhouse Rock-Elvis Presley. Many of you may recognize this from this year's Pops Concert where Gino sang while they did swing dancing. Click Here to see that. I really like this song, even before Gino sang it. Elvis is a favorite of mine, he was basically the god of rock n' roll and he had those amazing dance moves.

My Random Fact: I'm very affected by temperature. During the summertime, I have to sleep with the window open or else it gets too hot and I can't stand it. But during the wintertime, I need an electric blanket along with another one to keep warm. I also tend to shiver, complete with teeth chattering. I must be the human form of Global Warming.

Let's Get It Started

My Life: Today I went to Theater Workshop. It's pretty much one of my favorite places in the whole entire world, and it always has been. We're basically a bunch of random kids who come together act all day and have a blast. We do all sorts of things, but it's more of a you had to be there kind of thing to get. The basics of theater camp? Mary is a spazz who falls, Nick is my soulmate, Johnna is a giggle bunny, and Caitlin as the Arab makes my day.

My Thoughts: Yesterday I went and saw Transformers with Philip, Harrison, and Jessica LaMotte. It was basically a lot of explosions and lots of big robots. Basically, what I'd been expecting. And Megan Fox wore these white jeans that I can't get over because I mean really, who wears white jeans in the desert? They are very unflattering (but she still looked pretty), and she wore these boots with them and I was just questioning her wardrobe choices. Then we went to Jessica's house and saw her puppies. Puppies are the cure to everything, they just make you feel better.

My Music: Today is Let's Get It Started-The Black Eyed Peas. This was one of the first Black Eyed Peas song I ever listened too. It reminds me of middle school and those dances in the gym with socks and a random mosh pit in the middle. I listen to this song when I watch my dad play soccer, and it's really cool. It's like the timing matches perfectly with their running and kicking, and it just makes the game better. Just thought I'd share that.

My Random Fact: If you haven't noticed, I'm a bit of a stickler for rules. I like things structured, even my blog. The other day in theater we were doing this exercise about being in the 2nd grade, and I found that I said, "no we're not allowed to do that" many times. I can be rebellious though, like how I'm ignoring ALL of my summer homework.

The Start Of Something New

Hello blogging world.

I haven't blogged since middle school so this is pretty cool, since in middle school I didn't really know how to blog. It mostly comprised of me posting blogthings and saying things like "Today I went to Barnes & Nobles and got a new book! It's really good!". I'm not sure if I really know how to blog now, but since you're still reading, I guess I'm doing pretty well.
I've decided on certain things for my blog:
  1. Every post will be the title of a song, and every song will be from my iTunes library, so you can figure out what kind of stuff I listen to. I got this idea from Grey's Anatomy, where every episode is the name of a song.
  2. I will never ever type a whole post in all caps, because it's tacky.
  3. No blogthings on here. ever.
  4. I'll try to post at least weekly, probably more since it's summer and I enjoy procrastinating on summer homework.
  5. This idea just came to me like the apple and Issac Newton. I should make sections to this blog, that way you can skip the boring parts if you feel like it. The sections will follow: My Life (just things I did that day, probably the boring part), My Thoughts (my random thoughts, due to my constant day dreaming), My Music (story behind song name), and My Random fact (there are lots of random parts about me, you can just read all of these and figure out that I'm pretty weird).
This post is already kind of long so I'll just start on the next one...now :)
